Toubab, Städtische Galerie Kirchheim/Teck, 2011
Foreign Affairs, Galerie Heike Strelow, Frankfurt/Main, 2012

Toubab means "white person" in Wolof language, the most common language in Senegal. If you walk through the city, the kids playing on the streets will call you a toubab. The works that were exhibited in Toubab and Foreign Affairs reflect on the ambivalence and ambiguity of working in non-western-contexts as a white, privileged artist. The two exhibitions were accompanied by a catalogue.
